# How Does The Auto-Staking Feature Work?

Auto-staking Description

The VAP Auto-Stake feature is a simple yet elegant function called **Buy-Hold-Earn and Repeat**, that provides the ultimate ease of use for $Virtus holders.

**Buy-Hold-Earn & Repeat** - By simply buying $VAP tokens and holding them in your wallet, you earn rebase rewards directly into your wallet. Your tokens will increase <mark style="color:green;">**every 10 minutes**</mark>.

Using a Positive Rebase formula, Virtus Finance makes it possible for daily token distribution directly proportional to the daily rebase rewards, worth 2.28% of the total amount of tokens a $VAP token held in your wallet. The rebase rewards are distributed on each epoch (rebase period) to all $VAP holders.&#x20;

**This means that without moving their tokens from their wallet, $VAP holders receive an annual compound interest of&#x20;**<mark style="color:green;">**410,347.53%**</mark>**&#x20;for the first 12 months.**
